The focusing ring is currently stuck, possibly due to oxidation or drying of the lubricant, which might be aluminum-based. I tried using an old lubricating oil to dissolve the old lubricant. I sprayed WD40 and let it sit for a while, but it still wouldn't budge. I then tried pouring organic solvent, acetone, multiple times until midnight, but still with no results.
